The 2026/27 Alpine Ski World Cup begins on October 24–25 in Sölden, Austria, launching a five-month campaign that will decide the sport’s biggest prizes. For viewers searching for Alpine Ski World Cup 2026/27 live streams, the options vary sharply by country: Canada and Australia offer free coverage, while the United States and United Kingdom require subscriptions. This guide covers where to watch, the full season schedule, the reigning champions and the storylines likely to shape the winter.

Canadian viewers can follow the circuit at no cost through CBC and CBC Gem, the national broadcaster’s streaming service. In Australia, FIS TV provides free access to race coverage. Those two markets stand out as the only free options detailed in the season’s broadcast information.

Paid options in the US and UK

American audiences will find most coverage on Peacock, with some races also shown on NBC. Peacock subscriptions start at $12.99 per month or $129.99 per year, and a Walmart Plus trial is available for $1 over 30 days. For viewers who want NBC’s linear broadcasts, streaming platforms including Sling TV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and Fubo carry the channel.

In the UK, TNT Sports holds the rights. Access is available through Sky, Virgin Media, EE TV or an HBO Max plan, with subscriptions starting at £25.99 per month on an annual commitment.

Travelers who want to reach their home broadcaster’s coverage from outside their country may need a VPN. NordVPN is suggested for this purpose, with up to 75% off plus three extra months currently offered. A VPN can help viewers connect to a server in their home country and use a service that would otherwise be geo-restricted.

Season schedule at a glance

The calendar includes 43 men’s races and 40 women’s races. The women open with a giant slalom in Sölden on October 24, followed by the men’s giant slalom on October 25. The women’s tour then visits Levi, Gurgl, Killington, Tremblant, Beaver Creek, St. Moritz, Courchevel, Gosau, Flachau, Val di Fassa, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Kronplatz, Jasná, Kranjska Gora, Lenzerheide, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Soldeu and a venue before the finals. The men’s schedule includes Levi, Gurgl, Copper Mountain, Beaver Creek, Val d’Isère, Val Gardena/Gröden, Alta Badia, Madonna di Campiglio, Bormio, Kranjska Gora, Adelboden, Wengen, Kitzbühel, Schladming, Chamonix, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Saalbach, Kvitfjell, Åre and Sun Valley.

February brings a two-week pause for the World Championships in Crans-Montana. The season concludes at Sun Valley from March 20–25. The women race downhill on March 20, Super-G on March 21, giant slalom on March 23 and slalom on March 25. The men contest downhill on March 20, Super-G on March 21, giant slalom on March 24 and slalom on March 25.

Champions and contenders

Mikaela Shiffrin arrives as the reigning women’s overall and slalom champion. She would set an outright overall title record with another crystal globe, and she is expected to focus mainly on giant slalom and Super-G. The women’s discipline titles are held by Laura Pirovano in downhill, Sofia Goggia in Super-G and Julia Scheib in giant slalom.

On the men’s side, Marco Odermatt swept the overall, downhill and Super-G titles last season. Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the reigning giant slalom champion, is targeting Odermatt’s overall crown. Atle Lie McGrath holds the slalom title.

The women’s field will look different. Lara Gut-Behrami has retired, Goggia is absent at the start because of illness and Federica Brignone is sidelined with injury. Lindsey Vonn’s return timeline remains unknown. Petra Vlhová is fit to race again, while Emma Aicher, Camille Rast and Alice Robinson are seen as likely contenders.

Marcel Hirscher, widely considered the greatest alpine skier, returns after two inactive years. He won eight overall titles between 2011 and 2019.

Mobile and social access

Races can be followed on mobile through broadcaster apps or mobile browsers. FIS also maintains a social presence on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube under the handle @FISsnowboard.
