UFC 333: Volkanovski Defends Featherweight Title Against Undefeated Evloev in Abu Dhabi
UFC 333 lands at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 24, with a featherweight championship doubleheader at the top of the bill. In the main event, Alex Volkanovski puts his title on the line against the undefeated Movsar Evloev. The co-main event sees Petr Yan defend the bantamweight belt against Merab Dvalishvili.
Volkanovski's second title defense

At 38, Volkanovski is in the unusual position of defending a belt he has already lost and won back. Ilia Topuria took the featherweight crown from him at UFC 298 in February 2024. Volkanovski responded by beating Diego Lopes twice to reclaim the title. A victory over Evloev would mark his ninth title win.
Evloev, 32, brings a perfect record and a different kind of puzzle. He began his MMA career in M-1 Global and has compiled 21 professional fights without a loss. His last stoppage came in July 2018, and he has gone 10 fights since without finishing an opponent. That streak of decisions says something about his style: Evloev grinds, controls and accumulates rounds rather than hunting early endings.
Yan and Dvalishvili meet in the co-main event

The bantamweight title fight between Yan and Dvalishvili gives the card a second championship bout. Yan defends the 135-pound belt, while Dvalishvili looks to take it from him. Their meeting sits directly beneath the featherweight main event, adding a second high-stakes title fight to the Abu Dhabi show.
