Jordan Hall Commits to Penn State Over Ohio State and Missouri
Cincinnati Princeton running back Jordan Hall made his college decision on Saturday, committing to Penn State and giving the Nittany Lions their second running back in the 2027 class. The Jordan Hall Penn State commitment came after a recruitment that saw him choose the Nittany Lions over Ohio State and Missouri, the two other schools in his final three.
Senior production and physical profile

Hall has been one of the more productive backs in Ohio this season. Through the current campaign, the 5-foot-11, 197-pound senior has rushed for 1,179 yards and 24 touchdowns. That output followed a junior year he lost entirely to injury, a setback that reshaped his recruitment and forced him to rebuild his profile on the camp circuit.
He did that at Under Armour Ohio, where he earned positional MVP honors. His testing numbers backed up the on-field award: a 4.43-second forty-yard dash, a 10.72-second 100-meter time that supports that speed, and a 4.12-second shuttle. Those marks helped him move from a lesser-known prospect into the Power Four conversation.
How the recruitment unfolded
Hall originally committed to Miami (Ohio) before his senior season. That changed after a strong performance against Cincinnati Moeller, a game that helped trigger Power Four offers and led him to reopen his recruitment. From there, his recruitment expanded quickly.
He took two visits to Ohio State and two to Penn State during the fall, keeping both programs in the mix alongside Missouri. Penn State’s late push included head coach Matt Campbell attending Hall’s Friday night game against Moeller. Hall told Rivals he was still undecided before that game. The next day, he committed to the Nittany Lions.
Hall pointed to his relationship with the Penn State staff as a key factor, saying he talks with the coaches daily. That consistent contact stood out in a recruitment that had already taken several turns.
What it means for Penn State's class
Hall joins Chukwuma Odoh as the running backs in Penn State’s 2027 class, which now stands at 22 commitments. Adding two backs at the position gives the Nittany Lions depth in the class and addresses a key need in the cycle.
Rivals rates Hall as an 86-rated three-star prospect. That ranking could change; Rivals may re-evaluate him in its upcoming 2027 rankings update, a possibility that reflects both his senior production and his camp testing. For now, Penn State has secured a commitment from a back whose senior season has been a strong comeback from a lost junior year.
