Daytona Raises $60M Series B at $1B Valuation to Build Cloud for AI Agents
Daytona Platforms has closed a $60 million Daytona Series B at a $1 billion valuation, the New York-based startup announced on Friday, October 23, 2026. FirstMark Growth led the round, extending its lead role from Daytona’s $24 million Series A in February. With the new capital, the three-year-old company has raised $91 million in total.
Investor lineup pairs institutional backing with founder angels

FirstMark Growth’s return as lead signals continued conviction from the firm that backed Daytona earlier in the same year. The Series B also drew participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next, and Okta Ventures, according to the company.
Daytona named a long list of technology founders and executives among its angel investors: Patrick Collison of Stripe, Tobi Lütke of Shopify, Aravind Srinivas of Perplexity, Eric Yuan of Zoom, Olivier Pomel of Datadog, Adam D’Angelo of Quora and an OpenAI board member, and Brendan Foody of Mercor. Individual investment amounts were not disclosed.
Why agents need a different cloud

Daytona builds cloud infrastructure for long-running agents. The company argues that agents have infrastructure needs distinct from prior generations of software, and that existing cloud platforms were not designed with them in mind.
Founder and CEO Ivan Burazin made the case in a blog post about the round. He said agents differ from long-lived services. Rather than operating as persistent processes, agents create many short, stateful jobs, according to Burazin. That pattern, he argued, requires a purpose-built cloud.
The platform is designed to give each agent its own computer, Burazin said. In practice, Daytona offers sandboxed environments running Linux, Windows, and macOS, along with GPU access.
What the funding covers

The Series B announcement did not detail how Daytona will allocate the $60 million. The company also did not disclose revenue, customer counts, usage metrics, or employee numbers. Whether the $1 billion valuation is pre-money or post-money was not specified, and the specific terms of the round were not detailed.
Daytona’s leadership includes Burazin as founder and CEO, Vedran Jukic as CTO, and Goran Draganić as chief architect. The company is headquartered in New York and was founded three years ago.
The round arrives as agent-based software continues to attract attention from both investors and operators. Daytona’s bet is that the infrastructure layer for those agents will look different from the cloud built for earlier applications — and that the difference is substantial enough to support a standalone platform business.
